At age 14, I bought what was called a Sears Allstate MoPed. It was barely 1 year old and the owner had a careless wreck and was forced by his parents to sell it. It was a deluxe model ($350 US) with a chrome gas tank and additional wind protection in front of the engine. All of the USA models at the time were a very dark red and those of us that I knew that had them removed the little pipes that were attached to the muffler for better sound. I loved it and rode it for 2 years going to places I never thought existed in my home town. I never knew it was imported and made by Puch until after all these years (60+) I discovered these UA-cam sites that brought back so many great memories.

Question: Is this a split single like the 250 SGS ? I see it has two exhaust ports and is very similar to the Sears/Allstate branded Puchs 175 and 250 sold in the US.

I owned one too, it's a great idea to blow the air over the cylinder head inside a engine casing. These engine's are bomb proof, the only trouble that i ever had was geting dirt in the carb.
